Background
Dominique PROY is a Network Member of ENL
She is qualified in Sustainable Development (MSc) and Business Management
(MBA), along with a BSc in Biology. She has practical experience of strategies
for sustainable development in sensitive areas, such as Natura 2000, and in
Integrated Coastal Zone Management. She also develops indicators for risk
assessment and management.
She has 20 years of experience working in the space sector
on scientific issues such as Earth observation strategies including land use,
meteorology, oceanography, desertification, methodology and risk evaluation,
as well as cost evaluation of projects.
Her work within NGOs includes solving land use conflicts with
innovative technologies providing well-being according to sustainable criteria
and local identity. She proposes environmentally friendly solutions for compatible
impacts between anthropogenic and economic activities.
She acts as an evaluator for the European Commission - DG Research
on proposals, global change, climate and biodiversity proposals and for DG Enterprise
on accompanying measures for small and medium enterprises.
