Background
Anatoliy Nyzhnyk graduated as Dipl. Engineer in Forestry and Technology and after taking part in works for the elimination of the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986 he has extended the focus of his interests toward socio-economics and the environment. He has been carrying out research and consultancy activities in the Eastern Europe and in the Netherlands and gained experience in developing interdisciplinary projects and working collaboratively within international and multidisciplinary project teams.
He is equally familiar with qualitative research tools, including participatory methods, and specializes in quantitative methods: Cost-benefit Analysis; Multi-criteria Evaluation; Simulation and Optimization techniques (Linear Programming); Cluster and Factor Analysis; Q-methodology (Principal Component and Multiple Regression Analysis)
